Beautiful: An Original Flying Show is a metaphysical and visceral experience inspired by the symbolism and personification of the life cycle of a caterpillar. The show follows the lead character, Beautiful, on her adventures of the heart, mind, and soul. Filled with powerful symbolism, unique characters, larger than life scenic elements, special effects and, of course, lots of flying, Beautiful is a show for all ages. 

The perfect marriage of the special effects of Cirque du Soleil inspired elements and the modern musical, Beautiful explores where no show has ever gone. Creating a score that blends tracked and live music and percussion with original and contemporary music, is unprecedented and powerful. 

Prepared to be wowed, inspired, illuminated, and moved by the dynamic team led by Creator/Producer/Director Jennifer L Kelly and her incredibly dynamic performers.  Beautiful is the brain child of Kelly and Aerial Choreographer, Jason Whicker. Whicker's aerial work surpasses flight originally created for any show on or off Broadway.

Discussions for creating an original show began in April 2010 resulting in a Phase 1.0 production in November 2010 in Southwest Florida at the Lemon Bay Performing Arts Center. The performance played to packed houses and received rave reviews that propelled the creators to push to the next level in development. 

Executive Producer, Randall Wreghitt, a well established Broadway and off Broadway Producer joined the team in January 2011 and a new timeline began. Putting together just the right creative team, performers, and starting a Beautiful dance and flying troupe became the second mission. It is imperative that all performers and flying operators are well prepared and trained to fly and handle the daily rigors. Safety, training, and timing is essential to the success of this dynamic new show.

Current works include creating a professional promotional reel, researching possible spaces to hold a workshop for summer 2012, putting together a Creative Team, and casting dancer/flyers and a crew for Beautiful.

A showcase of Beautiful in Chicago and New York for investors, producers, and industry people is tentatively planned for 2013 complete with a story board and a 30 - 45 minute montage of scenes. Development will continue through 2014.
